Help accessing FM Connect
Welcome to FM Connect, the new home for your ministry’s giving, expenses and ministry partner relationships. We built it to give you clearer information and better tools for the relational work of raising support and caring for the people who partner with you.
FM Connect is for missionaries and FMCUSA staff who manage or support ministry funds. The steps below will help you get started. If you get stuck, we’re here to help. Contact us here →
Signing in for the first time
Each user has their own login, including spouses. Use your own Staff Portal email.
- Go to fmconnect.fmwm.org and select Forgot your password?
- Enter the email address you use for Staff Portal.
- Open the email we send you and follow the link to create your password. If it hasn’t arrived within a few minutes, check your spam or junk folder.
- Return to the login page and sign in with your email address and new password.
- Choose how you’d like to receive your security code. See the options below.
Access to your funds
FM Connect shows the funds you’re connected to, such as your missionary support account, Church Planting and Development funds, Extra Mile Projects or ministry accounts.
If you aren’t sure which email address to use, or you sign in and a fund you work with is missing, request access and tell us which funds you need. Brad Wilcox will review your request and confirm the right access.
Request access →Group - Quick fixes
Q1 Email not recognized answer
Make sure you’re using the email address you use for Staff Portal. If you have more than one address, try each. If it still isn’t recognized, request access and we’ll find your account.
Q2 Fund or report missing answer
You’ll see only the funds you’ve been connected to. Request access and list the funds you need, and we’ll update your account.
Q3 Security code not arriving answer
Codes sent by email can take a few minutes. Check your spam or junk folder, and make sure you’re looking in the inbox for your Staff Portal email. If codes are regularly slow, consider switching to an authenticator app. If you still can’t sign in, contact us.
Your security code
To protect your ministry’s information and the people who support it, FM Connect asks for a one-time security code when you sign in. You can receive it in one of two ways:
By email
We send a code to your sign-in email address. Enter it on the screen to finish signing in.
With an authenticator app
Use an app such as Microsoft Authenticator on your phone. It creates codes for you, even without email or a cell signal.
Serving overseas or traveling often? An authenticator app is usually the more reliable choice. It works even when email is slow or connectivity is limited.
After you sign in
FM Connect brings your ministry’s information together in three places.
My Dashboard
Select the fund you want to view to see its details. At the bottom of My Dashboard, you’ll find the link to edit the giving pages you have access to.
Ministry Expenses
The same type of expense information you’ve used in Staff Portal.
My Donors
Your ministry partner relationships in one place: contact information, relationship details and a place to log your activity. More features and tools will roll out regularly.
Editing your giving page
Use the link at the bottom of My Dashboard to update the giving pages you have access to. A few tips:
- Open with an invitation to partner, then explain the ministry in two to four sentences.
- Write out Church Planting and Development, Extra Mile Project and Missionary Support Account rather than using abbreviations.
- Choose a clear, recent photo of people in ministry.
- If you serve where public ministry is restricted, follow your standard precautions with names, places or institutions.
Common questions
Group - Signing in and access
F1 Which email answer
Use the email address you use for Staff Portal. Spouses each have their own login, so each of you should use your own email address.
F2 Same password answer
No. FM Connect has its own password, which you create the first time you sign in using Forgot your password?
F3 Staff Portal answer
Yes. Staff Portal remains available during the transition while we confirm that the financial information in FM Connect is complete and accurate. We’ll let you know well before anything changes.
F4 Staff need it answer
If you manage, raise support for or help care for a ministry fund, yes. If you use Staff Portal only for reports, you can continue as you do now. If you aren’t sure, ask us.
F5 More than one account answer
You should have access to all the accounts you oversee or support. If you don’t see an account, let us know.
F6 Expenses current answer
Initially, expense information will be updated weekly. Soon, it will be updated automatically each night.
Group - Your ministry partners
F7 Recurring gift answer
Recurring gifts are still being moved to the new giving site, which may take a couple of weeks. Their gift doesn’t need to be set up again. Please encourage them not to create a new recurring gift, which could result in giving twice. If they need help, they can visit give.fmwm.org/sign-in-help or call (800) 342-5531.
F8 Partner sign-in answer
Send them to give.fmwm.org/sign-in-help. They can follow the steps there, complete the contact form or call (800) 342-5531. Our team will help them directly.
About FM Connect / Site Stacker
Group - Why this change
A1 Why change answer
There are two primary reasons.
First, Blackbaud is ending support for NetCommunity, the online giving platform FMCUSA has used. Because support ends January 1, 2027, we needed to move to a new giving solution before then.
Second, missionaries and ministry leaders have consistently told us that our previous tools did not provide the experience, information or functionality needed to effectively support fundraising and ministry partner development.
The new platform provides:
- A simpler giving experience
- Better fundraising tools
- More timely and accessible information
- Improved donor and church relationship management
- Fewer disconnected systems
- Stronger communication and storytelling capabilities
If missionaries are expected to carry significant responsibility for raising support, we believe FMCUSA has a responsibility to equip them with effective tools for that work.
A2 Why Site Stacker answer
After extensive evaluation of our organizational needs, we selected Site Stacker because it is designed specifically for mission organizations and missionary-sending agencies. FM Connect is our name for the tools built on Site Stacker.
It brings online giving, donor management, fundraising tools, account reporting and ministry partner engagement into a single platform. Rather than gathering information from multiple systems, you have one primary place to understand fundraising activity, donor relationships, commitments and ministry account information.
More importantly, it is designed not simply to record what has happened, but to help identify opportunities for meaningful follow-up and stronger donor care.
A3 What can I do answer
- My Dashboard: view details for each fund you’re connected to and edit your giving pages.
- Ministry Expenses: review the same type of expense information you’ve used in Staff Portal.
- My Donors: see contact and relationship information for your ministry partners and log your activity.
More features and tools will roll out regularly. Our goal is to help you see what may need attention next, whether that’s welcoming a new ministry partner, following up on a commitment, saying thank you or responding to changes in giving.
A4 How it helps FMWM answer
FM Connect is intended to improve support at every level. It will help area directors, fundraising coaches and appropriate World Ministries Center staff notice trends earlier, offer more timely help and provide stronger coaching around support raising, donor care, Church Planting and Development funds and project funding.
Our hope is not simply to provide better information, but to provide better support.
Group - Giving and your ministry partners
A5 Online giving answer
Our new giving site is live at give.fmwm.org. Beginning October 15, the Give buttons on FMWM.org will take donors there.
The new giving experience makes it easier for ministry partners to:
- Make one-time gifts
- Set up recurring gifts
- Support multiple ministries in a single transaction
- Manage payment methods and contact information
- See their giving history and receipts
A6 Existing recurring answer
Existing recurring gifts are being moved to the new giving site. Donors do not need to set up their recurring gifts again.
The move may take a couple of weeks. Until it’s complete, donors won’t see their recurring gifts when they sign in to the giving site. Once their gifts have moved, they’ll see their recurring gifts and their giving history.
A7 FMWM.org page answer
Not as part of the fall 2026 transition. Missionary and country pages on FMWM.org remain in place, and existing URLs and QR codes continue to work. The main change is that the Give button on those pages now takes donors to the new giving site. FMWM.org will undergo a significant overhaul from January through March 2027.
A8 Blackbaud links answer
Older links at give.fmcusa.org will redirect automatically to the matching page on the new giving site. Links beginning with host.nxt.blackbaud.com will stop working and need to be replaced. Where practical, link to your FMWM.org page or your new giving page.
Common places to check:
- Newsletters and email signatures
- Websites and social media profiles
- QR codes, prayer cards and brochures
- Automated email messages
A9 FMWM.org plans answer
This transition is the first step. We plan to redevelop FMWM.org on the same platform from January through March 2027, with greater emphasis on storytelling, engagement and mobilization, helping people discover missionaries and ministries and find clear ways to pray, give, go and partner.
Group - DonorElf
A10 DonorElf info answer
If you’ve used DonorElf to track donor relationships, notes or activities, we can move that information into FM Connect on a case-by-case basis so you don’t have to start over. To request a DonorElf migration, contact Brad Wilcox, who will coordinate it with Site Stacker. You can also use the help form and choose “Moving my DonorElf information.”
A11 DonorElf long term answer
Our long-term plan is to move missionary fundraising and relationship management from DonorElf to FM Connect. We won’t end FMWM’s DonorElf subscription until current users have moved, important DonorElf information has been transferred and we’re confident FM Connect provides what missionaries need.
