Give From Your IRA - body
Your IRA may offer another way to partner in the mission you care about. A qualified charitable distribution, often called a QCD, allows eligible IRA owners age 70½ or older to direct a gift from their IRA to an eligible charity. A qualifying gift may count toward a required minimum distribution and be excluded from taxable income, subject to IRS rules.
If you are considering an IRA gift, we can help you identify the ministry you want to support and the information your IRA custodian will need. Your custodian arranges the distribution; your tax advisor can help determine whether a QCD fits your circumstances.
